Hungary vs Hungary
LECTURERS:
PROF. HUSSEIN CHALAYAN (main lecturer)
Incredibly fast-paced game,
intensely close,
yet so far without a score
match at halftime: 0:0 - “beton.hofi”
For the semester project ’24, I explore the current situation in Hungary, focusing on the excessive spending on football stadiums and related infrastructure. I address this issue by blending traditional Hungarian folk costumes with modern football aesthetics, creating a humorous and ironic fusion.
Vadászat
This collection ‘24 was inspired by the concept album “VADÁSZAT” from Hobo Blues Band. The album’s central theme revolves around hunting, not just as an activity but as a metaphor reflecting societal and existential aspects. Hobo Blues Band, led by László Földes, uses hunting as a narrative device to explore human nature, societal norms and personal experiences.
Tisza
LECTURER:
PROF. ANKE SCHLÖDER
“Tisza” is a semester collection ‘23 that explores the emotional journey of slowly losing one’s memories of a homeland, symbolized, by the Tisza River, which flows through Szeged, my hometown. The collection captures the emotional struggle of holding onto fragments of identity as they are slowly washed away.
50 forint
“50 forint” is a semester project ’22 that explores the idea of how traumatic events can alter one’s personality and shape their identity. By integrating AI (midjourney) into the design process, this collection marries human emotion with technological innovation.

csillag vagy fecske
LECTURER:
FRAUKE BUSCHMEYER
This semester project ‘22 was inspired by the song “csillag vagy fecske” (“star or swallow”) by Kispal es a Borz (feat. Csik Zenekar), which is a alternative hungarian song re-covered by the Csik Zenekar and adapted it to a “modern” folk-song. My intention was to capture the essence and meaning of the song and modernize traditional hungarian costume.
Paris Showroom 2023
In September 2023, I co-organized a showroom during Paris Fashion Week to present our projects. From promotion to transportation and setup, we managed every detail independently. Over five days, we showcased our work to an international audience, gaining valuable connections and profound appreciation for our creations.

About Me
My name is Tamás Pozsár, a fashion design student passionate about storytelling through design and exploring creative boundaries. Born in Hungary, but living in Germany since 2012, I draw much of my creative inspiration from my cultural background and personal experiences. Since 2021, i’ve been pursuing my Fashion Design B.A. at HTW Berlin.
During my studies under Prof. Hussein Chalayan, I sharpened my ability to merge narrative concepts with craftsmanship and structural precision. His mentorship encouraged me to challenge conventions and embrace innovative, forward-thinking ideas.
My skills span traditional and modern techniques, from pattern making and draping to mastering tools like CLO 3D and digital printing. I aim to create work that balances technical precision with bold, conceptual expression.
